Reading Time: 1’35” . Abuja Living X Weekend Dose || My Saturday Brunch at Code Cafe
“Coming together is a beginning, staying together is progress, and working together is success.”
I’m going to be very honest with you. I sat staring at my laptop for over 3 hours thinking of how to start this post. In those 3 hours, I seriously considered stopping blogging. It feels as though I don’t know how to blog anymore. Well, what do I expect when I’ve buried my head in work for the past few months. This is a story for another day. You can catch up on why I took a blog break.
So, I have a question for you. If you didn’t have to work and everything was provided, what would you spend your days doing?
Best believe you’ll find me in one corner of a cafe reading a book while eating pancakes and scrambled eggs with a nice warm cup of tea or hot chocolate. I’ll travel Africa, soak in the sun and experience all the culture I can. I’ll go on food tasting sprees wherever my wanderlust leads me to. Hug, dance and have fun with strangers; I’ll be a child once again. With all these, a lot of days would also be spent getting my beauty sleep.
A few Saturdays ago, I got to experience what my dream life would be at the Adohr Speaks Work Party. This took place at Code cafe, which is a cute little cosy cafe in the heart of Abuja. The interior was quite basic; but boy, did they sell me with those neutrals.
I started my brunch with chamomile tea; which is one of my favourites. It’s so calming, relaxing and simply perfect for me, considering I always get so overwhelmed. I had my tea while having conversations with Sarah and Chio. It was a nice way to start the day.
Then came the food. Hey lover, I’m sorry. I had a pastry affair and I loved it. I tried some pastries that I had never ever tasted and I loved them all. Can’t even remember all their names
Now it’s time to get you hungry.
It was good being out in such an environment with other creatives and content creators. Earlier this year, I promised myself to use my weekend for more creative activities rather than sleep all weekend. (well, sleeping requires some level of creativity *jokes*) I hope you enjoyed reading my post. Let’s keep the conversation going in the comment section.
*Disclaimer: This post is not sponsored by the cafe. It is simply a recap and honest review of my visit. The content of this post is entirely mine and all the pictures were taken by me.
